Miners Give Back

Bingham High School was born from a small, hard-working community tucked into the hills of the Oquirrh Mountains—once separated from the rest of the Salt Lake Valley. Families came from across the country and around the world in search of opportunity and a better life. They spoke many languages and brought with them rich traditions and cultures. Yet together, they became one community—neighbors who cared for each other. When one was struggling, others reached out to lift and help.

That spirit of looking out for one another has always been the Miner way: work hard, take care of your own, and then turn back to help those who helped you along the way. Today, Bingham High continues to build on that same tradition-and, like those who came before, could use a helping hand from its own.

We invite you to give back to the school that gave us so much. Your donation—large or small—will go 100% directly to the cause you choose, helping current students and future Miners carry on the proud legacy we share.

Help Bingham Band Get to Hawaii

The Bingham High School Marching Band has been invited to participate in the Pearl Harbor Parade December 7, 2026. This will be the 85th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor in addition to recognizing the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

Participation in this once in a lifetime experience is going to be incredible and expensive. We are seeking any and all support we can receive as Bingham is the only Utah ensemble that will be participating in the parade and will be honored to represent the USS Utah and the Bingham High School Miner Magic as we march.

Some of the activities the band will be participating in include attending a concert on the USS Missouri, learning of the rich culture of the islands at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and of course marching in the parade itself.

The tour will likely cost just under $3000 per individual. As of right now, we have an estimated 120 people signed up to go. That means we are looking to raise $360,000. A daunting task to say the least. While we are planning on having many group fundraisers including clothing drives, pancake breakfasts, and tailgate dinners to bring down the cost of the overall trip, we will need all the help we can get from our beloved alumni.

Thank you for helping us to provide these valuable experiences to the students of the Bingham High School band program. Please feel free to contact Bingham's band leaders with any questions you may have: Darin Graber or Jennifer Worthen.
